Beach bag

With only six weeks left for my daughters due date I decided not to attempt maternity clothes.
Instead my other daughter will be going to Maui and she wanted a beach bag. First attempt for a bag  so large. Challenging but quite fun creating.  The picture doesn't show it's real size. For her and her husband she will have lots of room to fill it with all kinds of beachy items!
Next project? Hmm I'll have to think about that.

Why Not?!

Why not I ask myself. My daughter is about 6 months pregnant and when it comes to shopping for maternity clothes it's very difficult to find.  So I asked myself  "why not" create some feminine colorful clothes for her. So off to Joann's I went and got some jersey fabric for a shirt and fabric for a skirt!  So here I go. Stay posted! Pictures to come!

Kirks Korner at Home: Great Healthy Recipe

Great Healthy Recipe

This recipe is delicious!
Honey Sesame Salad Dressing

1⁄2 cup/115 g. chickpeas
1⁄4 cup/60 ml. sesame oil
1 Tbsp. soy sauce (or sub Bragg’s liquid aminos)
2 Tbsp. honey
1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1⁄2 Tbsp. minced garlic

* Makes 3/4 cup of dressing — enough for 2 – 4 salads.

1.) Combine chickpeas and sesame oil.

2.) Use an immersion stick blender or food processor to puree the chickpeas & oil.

3.) Add remaining ingredients and stir thoroughly.

4.) Serve over your favorite salad!
